
This is one of the first pictures I have found of a relative. Edward Bearne (on the far right) is my great-great grandfather. Seems to be a handsome guy. Died when he was 45. Lacks the longevity of a true ancestor.
The more I try to sort out the mess after my hard drive crashed (I hate Dell big time over this) the more I question my sources. There seems to be a sort of circular citation system going. While I will (eventually) copy all the stuff that I have left on Ancestry UK all is going to need looking at again so I can get some real sources. This is very tedious because I trust that my old self wasn't picking dates from trees so there must be a good source somewhere. The problem is that I listed them all on the hard drive and didn't add them to Ancestry so I am copying notes and hoping to find sources later. This is tedious.
